| Innovations Yield RUR 9 Million in Savings over 2009 |
Coke Section No. 3 won the competition among inventors and developers of Altai-Koks in 2009. Second place went to the Special Coke Chemical Equipment Repair Section, and third place was shared between the Automation Equipment Section and Heat and Water Supply Section.
The winning sections provided the most innovation and development proposals, and attained the most economic effect from their innovative activities.
The title of the Best Innovator went to Evgeny Tretyakov, representing the Special Coke Chemical Equipment Repair Section. Second place went to Mikhail Bychkov, Head of Coke Section 3, and third place to Alexander Stelmakh, stove tender of Coke Section 3.
The Best Young Developer prize went to Sergey Koltashov, Design Engineer of the Special Coke Chemical Equipment Repair Section, second prize in this nomination went to Alexey Lysenko, Mechanical Engineer of the Special Coke Chemical Equipment Repair Section, and third place to Dmitry Anastasyev, Shift Supervisor of Coke Section 3.
Anatoly Shalamov, Leading Energy Engineer of the Energy Production Section, was commended by the management for taking part in invention and development programs, and Valery Nazarov, Leading Electrical Engineer of the Automation Section, received a prize for assisting in implementing innovations.
