Target corporate programs
Being one of the largest employers in the Altai Territory, Altai-Koks focuses on training highly-qualified specialists to be employed by the Company and on providing comfortable conditions for its employees’ work and leisure. As a special priority, the Company attends to retired employees, those who have vastly contributed to its establishment and development.
Personnel training and advancement
Altai-Koks’ HR policy is based on creating career development opportunities for its employees. Altai-Koks has been successfully implementing a personnel training program comprising two major aspects: blue collar training and white collar qualification upgrades. In 2010, 3,100 employees underwent training, including 1,197 blue collar workers. 1,845 white collar employees improved their qualifications; 537 of them studied at external educational institutions, 1,308 completed pre-attestation training programs in areas controlled by supervisory bodies, 43 employees participated in personnel reserve trainee programs. Additionally, a personnel reserve group of 15 people was formed – it is planned to appoint these employees to managerial positions within the next three years. Their education consists of training sessions covering various topics to develop managerial skills.
The Company’s investments in professional training have exceeded RUR8 mln. In 2010, five professional contests were organized, as well as “Foreman of the Year” and “Young Leader” corporate competitions. There is a system of bonuses to motivate employees that have shown the best professional qualities.
Medical care and health resort therapy
On November 26, 2010, Altai-Koks’ Medical Unit, a privately-owned healthcare institution, was set up on the basis of the Company’s former medical unit.
The Medical Unit includes a clinic with a capacity for 300 patients per shift, a first aid post and a health resort (105 places).
The Medical Unit employs twenty-two doctors.
Five of them have the highest qualification.
Ten doctors have the 1st and four doctors have the 2nd qualification category.
Non-wage benefits
In 2010 Altai-Koks paid ca. RUR48.3 mln as aid to parents for child birth, to women on maternity leave taking care of a child under three years of age, as payment for additional holidays taken for family reasons, as bonuses for workers’ anniversary dates or retirement, in connection with professional holidays, etc. Furthermore, these funds were used to reimburse the cost of stay at the “Bodrost” health resort for the Company’s employees and their children. The decision to pay aid or refund the cost of expensive medical treatment is taken at the Social Issues Commission meetings.
Social support program for retired employees
As many as 1500 (actually, as of 31.12.2010 - 1689) retired employees are members of the Altai-Koks veterans' organization. In 2010 the Company allocated over RUR9.7 mln to the social support program for retired employees.
